Their wedding day at the Dominion House in Guthrie was beautiful, and it was so wonderful to see such an amazing and FUN family all in one place... it was a party for sure! I had the honor of doing Jennifer's bridal portraits a while back, and seeing how lovely she was in her amazing dress, I was pumped for the special day! Throughout the entire night, these two carried themselves with such a radiance about them and each other. This kind of love is so pure and wonderful, and Kyle and Jennifer embody every aspect of marrying your best friend and companion in life. This bluegrass/soul/hootenanny band holds a special place in my heart! Not only are these guys and gals INCREDIBLY talented, but they also have such a passion for what they do. They give it all to God while having a great time. I crack up every time I'm around them! They treat each other like family, and everyone brings something so different and special to the table. They spent a weekend recording in the Dallas Sound Lab for their upcoming album several weeks ago, and... it's going to be AMAZING! Christmas at the Boevers!

Wowza! Another Christmas is here, and needless to say, we have a heck of a white Christmas! The insane blizzard that hit yesterday was outrageous! Seriously though, I felt like I was getting slapped in the face with ice chips by a windy bully... but I am so blessed to be home safe and warm with my awesome family.

There is such a magical quality about Christmas that really brings people together... for me, it's the memories and traditions that still remain today. I remember the excitement of Santa Clause, and making Jello Jigglers for him on Christmas Eve with my sister. I remember dancing around in skirts my Grandma made out of old curtains with my sister, singing "Feliz Navidad" into our maraca microphones. I remember the incredible care my mom always takes in the Christmas Eve snacks, dinner, and Christmas morning breakfasts, as she adores time spent with family more than anything. I remember my dad always assembling toys and putting up with shrieking little girls with the greatest of ease and patience. I remember that the simplest of gifts have the tendency to mean the most, because they genuinely come from the heart. Most of all, among many other things, I remember the indescribable feeling of saying Merry Christmas at midnight during the middle of the candlelight Christmas Eve service to my church family.

Christmas is magical, and it all started with the birth of a special baby. How blessed are we that can come together at Christmas and celebrate new life in such a miraculous way? I know I might be rambling, but just know that my prayer for you and everyone else is that we don't let the magic of Christmas pass as soon as the day is over. Be grateful, celebrate the real reason for the season, love your family and friends, and embrace the many blessings we have in this life. I love you all so much, and I thank you for the continual support and love you've sent my way! Know that you are appreciated, and that you are a huge blessing in my life. Merry Christmas to all, and be blessed! Enjoy Christmas at the Boevers'!

I consider it an amazing blessing to be able to photograph two people who are not only engaged, but good friends of mine! Words cannot describe how excited I was when I heard these two got engaged, and I feel so honored to be designated as the photographer during this amazing journey! I met both of them at the OU Wesley Foundation where they were the first people to really welcome me there. We traveled to Honduras together last January for a mission trip in La Ceiba, and I grew to greatly admire Taylor and Kayla. Through that trip, I saw that both of them have incredible hearts of service and compassion, and bubbly personalities that will brighten any and every day! They truly have a gift for serving God whole-heartedly... The more I've gotten to know them, the more evident it is that they are a PERFECT match. We had an amazing time during their shoot in Bartlesville, and they were incredible to work with despite the bitter cold weather! The way they look at each other, treat each other, and have fun together is so inspiring, and I am SO excited for their wedding in July... I am extrememly happy for you both, and I know you will have an amazing life together! CONGRATS friends!

Tyler and Caroline are GREAT! Caroline and I practically grew up together as our parents quickly became best friends when we moved to Yukon about 15 years ago... I remember many nights when our parents would stay up late playing board games or domino's, and all of us kids would be upstairs playing duck hunt, pool, or other ridiculous games that were so much fun! Caroline has always been a sweetheart, and our whole family definitely approve of Tyler! There is an old abandoned house out by the neighborhood we both used to live in, and we've always wanted to explore it, so we decided it would be perfect for pictures, and perfect it was... I can't wait for their wedding next October! Congrats Tyler and Caroline!

Nothing brings me more joy than capturing couples that truly embrace each other in a setting that just, well, FITS... Alan and LeeAnn are fantastic, and I loved exploring the highlights of Stillwater with them! LeeAnn was such a trooper with it being a cold, windy day, and Alan certainly didn't mind holding her close in that "snuggly" kind of love... :) One can tell a lot about couples through the way they look at each other, and there is definitely A LOT of love going on here! I met Christina through Kappa Phi, yet I had never met Alan until this day... he is awesome! They are truly one of those "meant to be" couples that you know will be a great team... We explored Campus Corner in Norman, where we found all sorts of great places we never knew about! They were up for anything, and were so incredibly nice the whole time... I am so excited for their wedding in May, and I am so happy for these two little lovebirds! Congrats you two!

The Bell's are AWESOME. Such a great bunch! It's families like this that not only make my job a blast, but restore my faith in the family element... These two have been married for over 20 years, and they have a beautiful daughter who really knew how to work the camera! They love to play Rock Band, which automatically makes me adore them, and they have an all-around good time that goes beyond the camera lens... you can tell this is how they LIVE, and through that, the love for their family is evident all of the time! I loved meeting them, and we enjoyed a rather chilly morning running around the Arts Festival grounds. Thanks for an amazingly fun session Bell family! You ROCK!

Dan & Courtney... Engaged!

Dan and Courtney are a bundle of joy! Though we battled a pretty intense cold front at the end of our session, we had an absolutely amazing time photographing their engagement all over OKC! These two are amazing, and they were so natural with each other in front of the camera... the very first shot we took happened to have a wedding party walk by in the background from a wedding that just took place in the Myriad Gardens. I don't know about you all, but to me, that's a pretty promising sign! They also brought their dogs along for the ride, and they were beautiful! I met Summer in a scholarship program called PLC freshman year, and since then, she has gone on to be one involved lady on campus! Summer & Justin have been together for a while now, and their playful nature combined with their genuine love for each other (as seen in their many exchanges of glances ... :) makes be believe in love even more, and trust me, I BELIEVE in love! Meet Daniel and Elise... These two are just wonderful! Elise and I met several years ago on a Nation Student Council Convention trip, and not only did we both end up going to OU, but she is currently serving as the President of the Kappa Phi club I'm a part of! She is a go-getter all the way, and she certainly deserves the best... I honestly believe that Daniel IS the best for her! Daniel is an insanely talented chef, which is one of the many things Elise was looking for in a guy... Together, they are beautiful! They are board game fanatics, and I was so happy to see their creativity in incorporating a Scrabble board into their photos... it was perfect! Not only that, but Daniel's last name is "Puma", which made the matching Puma shirts ROCK! I'm so excited for their wedding, and I wish them the best! Thanks Daniel and Elise!

Today is the first day of my sister's 25th year of life... I can't believe it! I can honestly say that Karen has always been my role model and one of my very best friends, which I feel so blessed to say of my sister. She is the most beautiful human being I know, as she has the biggest heart for people, art, and the simple idea of living a joyful and fulfilling life. She embraces life as the most precious gift, and she is the eternal optimist that always finds the good in things... ALWAYS. Her many gifts make her an artist... an artist of the soul, poetry, love, and all things fruitful... Meet Connor and Sutton... two little balls of fire! These two hold a special place in my heart, because of their amazing parents. For those that don't know, I've loved singing since I was little, and their mom, Tish, started teaching me voice lessons at the ripe old age of 9! I was with her until I graduated high school, and I loved every minute in her studio! Within that time span, Tish and her husband, Greg, were blessed with not one, but TWO precious babies around the same time, one of their own (Sutton), and one through adoption (Connor)... the funny thing is that Connor fits right in with his dashingly handsome looks! They are such a fun family who truly embody everything a family should have and be. I just love them! I've learned so much from this family, and I hope our friendship never ends... Connor just turned 4, and Sutton is 3 going on 16... or 30... :) We had a great time rompin' around a field of wildflowers, and we were excited to have their new cousin join us for a few shots! Enjoy these lively kiddos... they are amazing!

Danny & Kelsey... Married!

Let me tell you a little about Danny and Kelsey... I don't know them very well, but I do know this... these two have more love for each other than anyone I've ever met! I knew these two from high school, and Kelsey was into the art program like me! Though we never really got to know each other, I always admired them from afar as not only their relationship flourished, but as they really began to explore their talents as artists (both in music and fine art). They are truly amazing! Danny is an insanely talented musician who is also known as "Daniel the Brave"... I grew to like him pretty quickly as I discovered he is a fan of Ben Kweller and Nickel Creek! Needless to say, he has great taste, especially with Kelsey! Kelsey is a great artist who possesses so many great qualities... she is one of the most creative people I know! The two of them together is a magical thing... their wedding day was a BLAST, and never before have I seen a more cool and collective couple as them! They were simply so happy about this day, and I could not be happier for them! It was an amazing outdoor wedding at Oklahoma Christian University (where they both go to school), and though it was quite the blustery day leading up to the ceremony, the wind completely died down just long enough for a extraordinary ceremony at sunset full of laughter, tears, and overall sweetness... it was PERFECT. Meet Conor, the SUPER BABY! I simply could not resist altering my favorite image (above) from the day! Conor is an amazing little boy! I graduated with his mom, and when she sent me the message asking if I could get some shots of her new little bundle of joy, I gladly said "you bet'cha!" This was my first newborn session, and I loved it... Something about photographing such a tiny and sweet baby tugs on my heartstrings! We were hoping to get some shots of this little guy taking a snooze like most newborns do all of the time, but he wouldn't have any of it! I think he was afraid he would miss something... We had a great session, and I have a feeling this baby boy will grow up to be something, well, SUPER!

Meet Cassidi, a senior from Putnam City North High School! Cassidi and I met a couple of years ago through a group of friends, and I have always thought that she is a super sweet girl! I was so excited to get the call from her about her senior photos, and we had an amazing session yesterday... We explored a few things around Classen, and I was so excited about the shots we got. I immediately went home and started looking at them, and I was thrilled! As you can tell, Cassidi is very photogenic, and she has beautiful blue eyes! Meet my beautiful best friend of 8 years, Mrs. Kacie Brooke Kinney... Kacie and I have had a whirlwind of a friendship because of the crazy things life has the tendency to throw our way. We have been through so much together, including awkward middle school years, high school involvement, her house burning down, various medical events with our parents, our own instances of health, faith, and everyday life issues, and best of all, rooming together for the past two years as we entered our college experiences. All of these things have brought us so much closer through the years. I could never ask for a better best friend, especially when it is so necessary to have that one person in your life you know you can always turn to and talk about ANYTHING. My red-headed Kacie is without a doubt that person. We have shared so many laughs, tears, and joyful moments, and I truly consider her to be a sister.

Yesterday marked another milestone in her life and mine as her "sister" as she married the man of her dreams, Mr. Kaleb Kinney. They decided to finally tie the knot after three years of dating, and it was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony indeed. This past year has been filled with wedding plans, including the big day when a bride finds "the one" dress that is meant for her. I was honored to capture her bridal portraits a few weeks ago in a bittersweet session at the Will Rogers Park in OKC, and I'm so excited to finally show her off! As you will clearly see, she is a beautiful woman, both on the outside, and in her spirit. Enjoy my wonderful best friend, Kacie!

John & Jennifer... Married!

Before school ended, Randy Coleman (a super cool & very talented photographer) contacted me about coming along to help him with a wedding in July... I gladly said yes, and have been so excited about it since his phone call! Little did I know that I would actually know the bride until the week of! Jennifer graduated with my sister, and they roomed together in college for a while! While they were roommates, I knew she was dating this guy named John, and I was thrilled to see that these two were finally getting hitched! Not to mention that one of the bridesmaids is one of my October brides! We spent this last Saturday at the Belmar Golf Course in Norman where it was an absolutely gorgeous wedding! Even though temperatures peaked to over 105 degrees, it didn't matter in the midst of such a beautiful gathering. These two are super sweet, and the emotions they shared during the ceremony on the 10th hole really made you feel the love they truly embrace... Jennifer was a STUNNING bride, and her dress is one of my favorites that I've seen! So classic, vintage, sweet, and classy! So excited for these two! Enjoy their sneak peek!

Meet little Hadyn and Corbyn... aka, the girls I babysit! These two are just precious, and I am in love with their personalities! I came across this job through Angel Porch in the process of looking for a summer job. When I met the girl's parents, I was so thrilled to be working with such an incredible family! Little did I know that I would become so attached and really feel like a part of the family! I feel like I've pratically lived at their house this summer with babysitting and odd jobs around their new home, but I have absolutely loved every minute there! As you can clearly see, these girls are just beautiful, and I can't wait to see them grow up! I just hope they don't grow up too quickly! Thanks to the Hammons family for a wonderful summer so far! It's truly been amazing!

Korey & Crystal... Married in Colorado!

I know this is another long post, but I am so in love with this couple! Meet Korey and Crystal... they are a super fun couple who are so completely in love with Jesus and life in general! Crystal and I have gone to school together since middle school, but we became good friends in high school with activities like Student Council. I have always loved her spirit and compassion for people, and she is always down for a good time! Therefore, when I heard she was engaged to this Korey fellow, I wanted to meet this guy to make sure that he was a good match... after all, she deserved the best! After their engagement session, I was convinced that Korey was the right guy for her indeed! He is a super cool guy with a great sense of humor! It is evident that he cares for Crystal so much, and the dynamic between these two is simply beautiful! Their wedding was a free session to be another portfolio builder, but little did I know that this wedding would take us to Lake City, Colorado at the awesome Camp Redcloud where Crystal worked last summer. I took my amazing sister along to serve as an assistant/travel buddy, and we were so pleasantly surprised at the beauty of this place... seriously the coolest little town ever in the midst of the Rio Grande River and lovely mountains! We had the best time, and it was a GORGEOUS wedding with so much love and good times! I am so proud of these two for not only embracing each other in a way that I can only hope for with my future husband, but embracing the love of God with such grace and wonder... I LOVE these two! Thanks Korey and Crystal for an incredible weekend in the mountains for your big day! Best of luck with everything! Now, enjoy the beauty of this place...

Here are some extra shots... starting off with the best road trip buddy ever! We seriously almost hit about 20 birds... my sis and I took on mountainous roads with the Mission Impossible theme song, saw a jack rabbit the size of a very large pig, and learned all about Alfred Packer... that part was a little strange, but here are some of the wonderful things we saw! We truly enjoyed this little getaway, and it was such a breath of fresh air... We enjoyed the local "flavor" by hanging around Mean Jeans Coffeeshop, and Poker Alice Restaurant... I can breathe here! I'm seriously thinking/knowing that I want to live in Colorado one day... seriously.

It's been a really long time since the last post, but I have been anxious to post this couple's sweet wedding! I went along with the fabulous Angel Porch once again to capture this wonderful day at the Thunderbird Chapel in Norman, OK. It was a hot and steamy day, but Chase & Jennifer were troopers and so much fun! The whole bridal party was awesome, and the love between all of their family and friends was so evident! All of the guests were so excited about this day for Chase & Jennifer, and that is such an amazing thing! I'm so glad I was able to come along! Enjoy these two little lovebirds!

I know this is a super long post, but I really want you to meet Josh and Olivia... they are a dynamite couple who are each so talented! Josh is a graphic designer from Texas, and Olivia is from Tulsa and is getting ready to head to Seminary at Princeton University! WOW! I met Josh first as he a part of the amazing Red River Connection band that my sister and brother-in-law play in. When he and Olivia got engaged, we worked out a deal where we could exchange services! I would take the engagement photos, if Josh would design a sweet new logo (at the top! pretty great, right?!) and help with my new website design! I would say it was a pretty good deal indeed! We had a great time exploring downtown OKC and open wheat fields that created an awesome composition of images... Together, Josh and Oliva are a beautiful example of what love is... Olivia is sweet and extremely caring of Josh, and Josh could not stop smiling at the sight of his bride-to-be... they were heaps of fun and I am so excited to see the wonderful things they accomplish in their lives together! Thanks for letting me be a part of your story, and know that I think you two are just dandy!

Last week, the amazing Angel Porch of Art and Soul Photography and I embarked on the adventure of getting some much needed shots of each other for each of our upcoming new blogs and/or sites! It was an extremely fun time as we discovered just how funny it is to be the subject in front of the camera! I seriously have a new respect and admiration for all of my clients... I guess that just means I'm the one that needs to be behind the camera instead of in front of it! We had a blast and I'm so happy with the shots Angel got of me! Thanks for being incredible, Angel! So glad I can laugh with you so much!

Little Miss Fenli...

If you look at a few posts back, you will see the great session I had with Sandra... This little bundle of joy is her cousin! This is Fenli, and she is the sweetest little baby girl ever! When I booked Sandra's session with Fenli's mom, we talked about scheduling a time to take some shots of her as a portfolio builder. I spent a little while at their amazing house and got to spend some time with not only Fenli, but her adorable older brother and sister! It was a short session, but still a lot of fun, and there will be more to come! Thanks to Mychi for letting me come and capture your beautiful children! Enjoy this sneak peek!

Auburn Turns 2!

A while back, the incredible Angel Porch asked if I would take some photos at her daughter's 2nd birthday party! Auburn was SO much fun and is simply one of the most adorable little girls ever! It was the most perfect weather for families to come and play in the park for the afternoon and celebrate with little Auburn! Everything was decorated perfectly with amazing details... her parents sure do love their little girl! I had a blast and was so glad to be a part of Auburn's special day! Thanks Porch family! You are wonderful!

Everyone should absolutely get to know this up and coming band... they are going to be big! This trio of brothers simply call themselves "Payer" after their last name. They are a rock/pop (mostly rock... :) ) band who have dreams of making it big in the music business! The oldest boys (Aaron and Josh) are the frontmen, and their younger brother plays drums! They RV'd all the way down from Pennsylvania to record at the amazing Tate Music Group with Tate Publishing in Mustang, OK! After a full week of recording, they wrapped up their trip with a sweet photo shoot at Lake Thunderbird with me! When I got the call from their mom, I went on their myspace and was AMAZED at their talent! Seriously... they are going to be famous (watch out ladies... WINK!) I absolutely loved working with this incredible family! It's awesome to see a family who is so invested in each other with such an amazing soul for music... I am so proud to introduce you to Payer! Can't wait for their album to drop!

Cindy... Senior!

Cindy is a senior at Mustang, and she is so much fun! Cindy plans on attending SNU to pursue music and missions, and I was so glad she brought her French Horn along! We meandered up and down Western and the Paseo where we had some great settings to work with. Her boyfriend, Issac, came along and provided the comedic relief that worked great for her shots! We had a blast! Thanks, Cindy!
